We Are in Thailand to Defend Title, Mes Sungun Futsal Team's Coach Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mes Sungun coach Esmaeil Taghipour says that his team is going to score as many goals as possible and defend its title.
Defending champion Mes Sungun started the AFC Futsal Club Championship Thailand 2019 with an 8-2 win over Kuwaiti team Kazma in Group D.
“This is our first match but we played well and I’m happy we came up with the win. Kazma is a good side, they looked dangerous at times, but we could read their game and in the end it worked out for us, Taghipour said.
“Mes Sungun’s aim is to score as many goals as possible. We are here to win, but at the same time the goals are important to us,” the Iranian coach added.
Mes Sungun will meet Emirati futsal team Al-Dhafrah and Nagoya Oceans on Saturday and Monday respectively.
The 2019 AFC Futsal Club Championship is the 10th edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship, an annual international futsal club tournament in Asia organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
It’s being held in Bangkok, Thailand between 7–17 August 2019.
