Leader Warns of Western Plot to Force Iran to Give In to US Pressures

Speaking in a gathering of eulogists on the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah (PBUH), held in Tehran on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned about the plots hatched by Western think tanks and the extensive Western media campaign for persuading the Iranian nation to give in to the US pressures.

“The Iranian nation has stood firm (against the enemies) so far, by God’s grace, and will continue to stand as well, but such resistance requires a constant injection of spiritual force into the society,” the Leader underlined.

Highlighting the prevailing “epic mood” in Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said people have always been part of the scene in every development requiring “vibrant and epic presence”, and added that keeping such a spirit up needs efforts to strengthen religious values and develop the culture.

“The Iranian nation’s endurance against the pressures of the savage monster, the US, which has astonished global observers, owes much to such (religious) knowledge,” the Leader underscored.

Ayatollah Khamenei also stressed that the Islamic Republic possess all sorts of assets, such as Islamic establishment, perfect military commanders, young and motivated scientific figures, determined cultural characters, and the people ready for action in all arenas.

“Thus, with such capacities, the definite and ultimate victory over the broad front of enemies will belong to the Iranian nation, by God’s grace,” the Leader added.

One of the superb religious teachings and a main aspect of the Islamic lifestyle is not being afraid of the enemy, Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that the Iranian nation relied on God after victory of the Islamic Revolution, did not feel afraid of anyone, and could achieve progress and reach the top position in terms of scientific and technological standing as well as political position and regional influence.
