Top Iranian General Rules Out Serious Military Threats

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A high-ranking Iranian general said the enemies are unable to pose any serious military threat to the Islamic Republic.

“The foreign and extra-regional enemies of Iran, specifically the triangle of evil, namely the Americans, Zionists, Britons and their regional servants, cannot pose serious military threats to Iran,” top military adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, said on Tuesday.

Highlighting the steady decline of the US, the general said the recent presidential election revealed how weak and vulnerable the US has become in the political and cultural terms.

He also noted that the failure of the US strategies in the military invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq after about 20 years has provided good opportunities for China, Russia and Iran.

In a Tuesday message marking the 42nd anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri warned the enemies in the region and beyond of the crushing response they would get in case of threatening the Islamic Republic.
