2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship: Iran Defeats Turkmenistan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Turkmenistan 9-0 at the 2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship on Friday.
Sara Shirbeigi (two goals), Fereshteh Khosravi (two goals), Ziba Afrough (two goals), Fatemeh Hosseini, Mahsa Kamali and Maral Torkman scored for Iran.
Team Melli Banovan, who had defeated Uzbekistan, 5-1 and Kyrgyzstan 11-0, will play Tajikistan on Sunday.
The third edition of the CAFA Women's Futsal Championship, the annual international futsal championship organized by CAFA for the women's national futsal teams of Central Asia, is being held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Iran is the two-time defending champion.
