Iran’s Vafaeipour Takes Gold at Yasar Dogu Tournament
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hadi Vafaeipour of Iran claimed a gold medal at the 2024 Yasar Dogu Saturday night.
Vafaeipour defeated Mongolia’s Bat Erdene Byambasuren 10-0 in the final match of the 86kg and won the gold medal.
Iran’s Mohammad Mehdi Palangvar also claimed a bronze medal in the 65kg weight class after beating a wrestler form Kazakhstan.
The Yasar Dogu & Vehbi Emre Tournament is being held in Antalya, Turkey from March 7 to 10.
This international tournament includes competition in men's Greco-Roman wrestling.
