Iran, Iraq FMs Discuss Bilateral Relations, Regional Security

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and regional security issues.

They discussed bilateral relations between Iran and Iraq, emphasizing the need to continue the positive trend and implement agreements between the two countries' top officials.

They also addressed the recent developments in their bilateral relations, noting a meeting of the two presidents on the sidelines of the recent Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit in Algeria.

The two top diplomats highlighted the importance of increasing negotiations and cooperation to enhance security in the region.

Additionally, the foreign ministers discussed the situation in Gaza, emphasizing the need for increased efforts and political actions to halt the violence and ensure the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian coastal enclave.
