2 Cops Killed in Shootout in SE Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An exchange of gunfire with armed outlaws in Iran’s southeastern city of Zahedan resulted in the martyrdom of two police forces.

The police forces stepped in to end an armed clash in Zahedan, Sistan and Balouchestan Province, on Saturday, but the outlaws shot at the cops and killed two of them.

The incident came two days after a bloody terrorist attack in the same province.

In the early hours of April 4, a number of armed terrorists affiliated with the foreign spy services launched simultaneous raids on five security and law enforcement centers in Chabahar and Rask in the province of Sistan and Balouchestan.

At least 18 terrorists were killed by the Iranian security forces.

A number of IRGC, Police and Basij forces were martyred or injured in the exchange of fire.
