Esteghlal Midfielder Mehdipour to Miss Rest of Season: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team iconic midfielder Mehdi Mehdipour will miss the rest of the Iran Professional League (IPL) season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
He sustained the injury in the first half of the match against Mes Rafsanjan in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium Saturday night.
The two teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
His absence could be a big blow to Esteghlal as the Blues are chasing the Iran Professional League (IPL) title in the current season.
