Iran’s East Azarbaijan Exports over $360 mln of Agricultural Products

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The head of the Agricultural Organization of Iran’s East Azarbaijan province said more than $360 million of the agricultural products were exported from this province to 35 countries in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2024).

Most of the products were exported to Iraq, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan, Russia, Afghanistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Akbar Fat’hi said. 

The export of agricultural products from this province in the reported period registered a 14 percent growth in value compared to the previous year, he stated, according to IRNA.

In this period, dried nuts, pastries, confections, chocolates, grain products, pharmaceutical plants and flowers, animal and dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables were among the main agricultural products exported from East Azarbaijan province to foreign countries, he added.
