Israel's Raid Leaves Devastation in Nur Shams As 11 Palestinians Are Injured

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Israeli raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank lasted 40 hours and caused widespread devastation, with at least eleven people injured and three homes destroyed, according to reports from the Wafa news agency.

Seven of those injured sustained gunshot wounds from Israeli bullets, while four were subjected to physical assault by Israeli soldiers, Wafa disclosed.

The injured were promptly transported to Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and Al-Israa Specialty Hospital in Tulkarem.

Described as one of the most devastating assaults on the camp, the ongoing raid witnessed Israeli bulldozers demolishing a significant portion of its infrastructure.

According to Palestinian residents within the camp, Israeli forces are systematically targeting residential properties. This pattern, transforming homes into detention facilities and conducting mass arrests, has been observed previously.

The casualty toll from the raid stands at a minimum of five fatalities, a figure anticipated to rise, as reported by Al Jazeera's Nida Ibrahim, stationed outside the camp in Tulkarem.

In addition to the relentless and deadly incursion into the Nur Shams refugee camp near Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have conducted raids in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, and Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah.

During the military operation in Beit Furik, a 24-year-old Palestinian man sustained gunshot wounds, according to Wafa. Israeli forces deployed stun grenades, live ammunition, and noxious gas against local residents resisting the incursion, as documented in video footage shared on social media.

Late Thursday night, Israeli forces initiated a raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp, situated east of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank. Over the course of 12 hours on Friday, Israeli forces utilized bulldozers to obliterate roads, shops, and residential structures, while disrupting sewage lines within the camp.

As of early Saturday morning, Israeli forces maintain a presence in Nur Shams, while Palestinian fighters persist in offering armed resistance against the Zionist military intrusion.
