Israeli Army Arrests Seven in Occupied West Bank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces conducted multiple raids across towns in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the arrest of at least seven Palestinians, as reported by Wafa news agency.

The raids targeted various locations, including Illar in Tulkarem province, Deir al-Hatab east of Nablus, Hazma east of occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds, and Kafr Qaddum in the northern West Bank.

Since the onset of the Israeli war on Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territory has witnessed frequent raids and mass arrests, with over 8,000 Palestinians detained since October 7, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.

Amid escalating violence, the UN documented the deaths of at least 470 Palestinians at the hands of Israeli forces and settlers since the eruption of war, with the majority of casualties attributed to live ammunition.

In recent incidents, Israeli forces launched pre-dawn raids triggering clashes in Beit Sera village west of Ramallah, where stun grenades and tear gas were deployed during confrontations, according to Wafa news agency.

Additionally, raids were carried out in Illar north of Tulkarem and Hizma northeast of Jerusalem al-Quds, resulting in the arrest of a 22-year-old Palestinian man in Hizma.

In separate incidents, Israeli forces shot and killed two young Palestinians and injured two others near the Salem checkpoint in Jenin city. Ambulances were reportedly delayed in reaching the area to assist the victims, with international law violations alleged in denying life-saving aid.

Since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, Israel has arrested 8,480 Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank, about 3,660 of them held illegally under administrative detention with no charges brought against them.

Israeli armed forces are poised to arrest many other Palestinians illegally as they have been conducting daily raids in occupied areas over the nearly seven-month period.
