Foreign Trade of Iran’s Semnan Povince Up 59% in One Month: Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The director general of the customs office of Iran’s Semnan province said the province’s foreign trade has registered a 59 percent growth in the first month of the current Iranian calendar year (March 19 to April 21, 2024).

Morteza Hajiannejad said 29,000 tons of goods, valued at $10 million, were exported from the customs of this province to 34 countries.

Various types of detergents, motor oil, wide and cable, chemicals, lead ingot, tiles, ceramics, etc. were among the main products exported from the customs offices of the province in this period, he stated, according to Mehr news agency.

Hajiannejad added that the value of the products exported from this province overseas registered an 80% growth compared to last year’s corresponding period.
