US, Israel Pose Threats to All Muslims: Leader’s Adviser

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The threats presented by the US and Israel are not confined to a specific country, a senior military adviser to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed, adding that they target the whole Islamic world.

The threats posed by the US and the Zionists definitely do not target a single Arab or Islamic government and country, but they target the entire Islamic governments and nations, and the whole Muslim states from Africa to Asia are in danger,” Major General Seyed Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Sunday.

The best approach to counter those threats, he explained, is increased unity among the nations and establishment of regional and international unions by collective efforts.

Rahim Safavi also urged the Muslim countries to join hands to economically eliminate Israel from the region.

“Apart from the military supports, the key to liberation of holy Quds is unity and convergence among the Islamic governments and nations,” the adviser underlined, noting that Muslim countries can start to close the Israeli embassies in their countries to that end.

In relevant comments in late July, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the Islamic world must take decisive action against the Israeli regime and its supporters and provide help for the distressed people of Gaza.

“The Muslim countries must set aside differences and exploit all of their potentials to meet the needs of people of Gaza and while taking action against the blatant atrocities of the Zionists, declare their animosity against sponsors of the Israeli regime, especially the US and Britain,” Imam Khamenei stressed.

On July 8, Israel launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip. After 10 days of bombardment of the enclave from the air and sea, the Israeli forces started a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

The death toll from 27 days of Israeli onslaught on Gaza has exceeded 1,700 while above 9,000 have been wounded.
