Coronavirus in Iran: Over 325,000 Cases Recover

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The number of coronavirus positive cases that have recovered from the viral disease in Iran has surpassed 325,000, the Health Ministry’s spokeswoman said.

Speaking at a daily press conference on Tuesday, Sima Sadat Lari said at least 325,124 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across the country.

She also put the death toll from the coronavirus in Iran at 21,672, saying the disease has taken the lives of 101 patients over the past 24 hours.

The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has risen to 376,894 following the detection of 1,682 new cases since Monday noon, the spokeswoman added.

Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 3,709 patients have critical health conditions, Lari noted.

She went on to say that more than 3,256,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 25.6 million and the death toll has exceeded 855,000.
