Iran Greco-Roman Team Comes 5th at Cadet World C’ships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran Greco-Roman wrestling team finished in fifth place at the cadet World Championships.

Iranian wrestlers won two silver medals and one bronze in the competitions, held in Budapest, Hungary.

Mostafa Rezaei lost to Kyrgyzstan’s Razzak Beishekeev 4-1 in the final bout of 60kg.

Alireza Abdevali was also defeated against Moldavian Alexandru Solovei 2-1 in the 71kg final match.

In 92kg, Ali Jalali beat Armenian Harutyun Kirakosyan via fall to win a bronze medal.

Georgia won its first-ever team title in the history of the tournament.

Ukraine and Russia came second and third respectively.
