Persepolis’ Torabi among Ones to Watch at 2021 ACL Round of 16
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – As the 2021 AFC Champions League moves into the knockout stage, the-afc.com has taken a look at eight players set to leave their mark as their teams pursue a journey deep into the competition. Persepolis midfielder Mehdi Torabi is one of them.
Sitting comfortably at the top of the assist charts for the current edition with a chance to add to his five goals created, the versatile Torabi is one of the most complete attackers with both a good eye for a pass and goal with Persepolis pinning high hopes on him.
His record in two spells with Persepolis stands at 44 goal contributions in 78 games, and in the current edition of the AFC Champions League he boasts two goals and five assists in six appearances, and although both goals came from penalties, his playmaking was second to none, creating 20 chances in the group stage.
With Tajikistan’s Istiklol FC up next, he will be keen to show his qualities once more.
