Iran Downs Thailand at 2021 FIVB U-21 World Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran qualified for 9th–12th semifinals of the 2021 FIVB Men's U-21 World Championship on Wednesday after its 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-22) win over Thailand in Pool G.
Behrouz Ataei’s boys will play Cuba on Saturday.
Amir Hossein Toukhteh had 17 points for Iran while Donlakkham Sutthiphong scored 12 points for Thailand.
“It wasn’t a difficult match, because we analyzed the Thai team and its combinations very well and we knew its weak spots. I hope that we will deliver very good performances in the next matches, because Iran is a strong team,” Ramezani Younes, setter of Iran, told Volleyball World.
