At Least 13 Killed After Twin Explosions Hit Army Bus in Damascus (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A bus was destroyed in a suspected terrorist bombing as it crossed a bridge in Damascus, Syria, killing at least 13 people and injuring 3.
According to Syrian official media, two explosive devices were detonated, obliterating the vehicle, as it was carrying Syrian military service members, who were presumably the target of the attack.
The suspected terrorist incident happened at the Hafez al-Assad bridge in central Damascus early on Wednesday. A third explosive device was reportedly defused by a bomb squad.
Footage purportedly showing firefighters extinguishing the burning wreckage of the bus has emerged online.
