IPL: Sepahan, Persepolis Emerge Victorious, Esteghlal Held
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan and Persepolis football teams emerged victorious against their opponents on Matchweek 6 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Sepahan defeated Fajr Sepasi 2-0 in Shiraz’s Hafezieh Stadium.
Ezatollah Pourghaz (38th) and Mohammad Reza Hosseini (58th) scored for the visiting team.
In Tehran, Persepolis defeated Sanat Naft 1-0 courtesy of Milad Sarlak’s 72nd minute goal.
Esteghlal was held to a goalless draw against Gol Gohar in Sirjan. It was Esteghlal’s third draw in three weeks.
Foolad defeated Zob Ahan 1-0 in Isfahan.
Havadar and Aluminum played out a goalless draw in Tehran.
In Tabriz, Tractor defeated Padideh 1-0.
Nassaji drew 2-2 with Paykan in its home game.
And Naft Masjed Soleyman suffered a 1-0 home loss against Mes.
