Terrorists Who Killed Cop in SW Iran Arrested
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Police have captured the members of a terrorist team who had shot at a patrol car in the southwestern province of Khuzestan in July, killing an officer.
According to a statement released by the Police on Monday, three members of the terrorist team have been arrested in their hideout in Shadegan, Khuzestan Province.
The assailants had shot at a Police patrol car in Shadegan on July 24, killing Captain Malek Rasouli Nik, the commander of a local police station.
Investigations revealed that the gang of three assailants were affiliated with and supported by a terrorist group, the statement noted, adding that three assault rifles and a considerable amount of live ammunition and explosives have been confiscated from their den.
