Iran Beats Uzbekistan in Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Uzbekistan 44-35 in the opening match of the 9th Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship on Friday.
The 2022 Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship is the 9th edition of the championship.
The competition is being held from March 18 to 25 in Almaty, Kazakhstan under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.
It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2022 Women's Youth World Handball Championship, with the top four teams from the championship directly qualifying for the event, to be held in Georgia.
Kazakhstan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Syria and India compete in the competition.
