Iran Victorious over Vietnam in Asian Beach Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Vietnam 2-1 in the eighth Asian Men’s Beach Handball Championship on Friday.
The Iranian team, who had defeated the Philippines 2-0 in its first match, will play Oman afterwards.
The competition is being held in Tehran, Iran, from March 22 to 28.
The event acts as qualification for the World Championships, to be hosted in Greece next June.
Besides host Iran and defending champion Qatar, Oman, Vietnam, the Philippines and India compete in the event.
