Iran to Play England in 2022 World Cup Opener
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Team Melli will start the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a match against England in Group B.
Iran has never played Three Lions but will kick-off its campaign against England on November 21 - the opening day of the tournament.
Iran will meet either Wales, Scotland or Ukraine on November 25 and play USA four days later.
Team Melli needs to wait over two months to find out its second group-stage opponent.
The 2022 World Cup will be held in Doha, Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
