Japan’s JT Marvelous Withdraws from 2022 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Japanese volleyball team JT Marvelous decided to withdraw from the 2022 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Kazakhstan due to the COVID-19 infection among their team members.

Kuanysh from the host country has replaced the Japanese team in the competition.

Barij Essence will represent Iran in the competition and play Kyrgyzstan in its opening match.

The tournament will be held in Semey, Kazakhstan, from April 24 to 30.

Kazakhstan’s Altay and Kuanysh, Barij Essence of Iran, Thailand’s Diamond Food–Fine Chef Sport Club, Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute and Kyrgyzstan will pit their expertise against one another in the single round-robin competition.
