Iran into 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Knockout Stage
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran crashed Chinese Taipei 10-1 in Group C of the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup on Friday.
Team Melli booked its berth in the competition’s knockout stage underway in Kuwait.
Hossein Tayebi and Saeid Ahmad Abbasi scored three goals each in the match.
Salar Aghapour, Mohammad Hossein Bazyar, Alireza Javan and Mehdi Karimi also scored for the Iranian team.
Iran defeated Indonesia 5-0 in its opener and is slated to face Lebanon on Sunday.
Team Melli, headed by Vahid Shamsaei, seeks to win the title for the 13th time.
