IPL: Zob Ahan Edges Nassaji, Sanat Naft Held
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Zob Ahan football team moved up to ninth place with a 1-0 win over Nassaji in Matchweek 23 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Monday.
Mohammad Reza Soleymani scored the only goal of the match in Isfahan’s Foolad Shahr Stadium in the 54th minute.
Rock-bottom Sanat Naft football team, who has hired Abdollah Veisi as its new head coach, was held to a 1-1 draw against Malavan in Abadan.
Ahmad Shariatzadeh was on target for Sanat Naft in the 29th minute but Mehran Ahmadi leveled the score in the 31st minute.
Sanat Naft moved up one place to 15th in the 16-team table above Naft Masjed Soleyman due to a superior goal difference.
