US Exports to Iran Rise by 25% in 9-Month Period

TASNIM (Tehran) - The data released by the United States Census Bureau indicate that the country has exported $38.9 million in products to Iran in the first nine months of 2023, showing a 25.4 percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.

The data put the US’ total trade exchanges with Iran from January to September 2023 at $40.4 million.

The value of the trade exchanges between the two countries in the first nine months of 2022 had stood at $41.9 million.

The US has imported $1.5 million worth of products from Iran in the first nine months of 2023, showing a 86 percent decrease compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

The trade exchanges between Iran and the US have tapered off under Washington’s harsh sanctions against Iran.
