9th Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission Kicks Off in Tehran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 9th meeting of the Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission started in Tehran on Saturday aimed at expanding trade-economic cooperation and bolstering the constructive interaction between the two countries.

The meeting is co-headed by Iran’s Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission Ali Akbar Mehranian and Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani.

In this meeting, which is held annually, new and effective steps are taken for developing and depending the friendly relations between Tehran and Doha.

Representatives from different organizations are attending the event, including 17 in the Specialized Trade Committee, six in the Infrastructure Committee, seven in in the Energy Committee and 11 in the Social Committee.

The 9th Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission will run through December 11.
