Persepolis Edges Havadar: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team earned a 1-0 hard-fought win over Havadar in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Mehdi Torabi scored the goal in the 21st minute in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Elsewhere, Sepahan defeated Mes 4-1 in Isfahan thanks to goals from Ramin Rezaeian, Reza Shekari and Shahriyar Moghanlou (two goals).
Sepahan moved to second place with 21 points, two points behind leader Esteghlal.
Nassaji also defeated struggling Esteghlal Khuzestan, courtesy of second half’s goal by Amir Mohammad Houshmand.
