Iran Wins 2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship for Third Time
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Tajikistan 9-0 at the 2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship on Sunday to win the title for the third time.
Sara Shirbeigi of Iran was chosen as the Player of the Match.
Team Melli Banovan had defeated Uzbekistan 5-1, Kyrgyzstan 11-0, and Turkmenistan 9-0 in their previous matches.
The third edition of the CAFA Women's Futsal Championship, the annual international futsal championship organized by CAFA for the women's national futsal teams of Central Asia, was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from February 2 to 12.
Iran had won the events in the 2022 and 2023 as well.
