2024 Fazza Dubai World Cup: Iran’s Jafari Bags Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Amir Jafari Arangeh won a silver medal in the 13th Fazza Dubai 2024 ParaPowerlifting World Cup on Monday.
He won the silver in the men's up to 65kg by lifting 203kg.
Chinese powerlifter Yi Zou claimed the gold medal with a lift of 216kg.
Algerian Hocine Bettir finished third with 195kg.
Iranian powerlifters Mohsen Bakhtiar in up to 59kg, Ahmad Aminzadeh in over 107kg and Ali Akbar Gharibshahi in up to 107kg had earlier won three gold medals as well as two silver medals which were won by Hamed Solhipour in up to 97kg and Rouhollah Rostami in up to 88kg.
Fazza 13th Para Powerlifting 2024 World Cup, which serves as qualification for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, has brought 183 powerlifters from 32 countries together in Dubai, the UAE from February 28 to March 6.
