Esteghlal, Persepolis Play Out Goalless Draw in Tehran Derby
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal and Persepolis football teams shared the spoils in a goalless draw in Iran’s Professional League (IPL) in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium Wednesday night.
Persepolis could have reached the top, levelling the points with leader Esteghlal but remained three points adrift of its archrival in the table.
Furthermore, Sepahan beat Foolad 3-1 in Ahvaz, Paykan edged past Malavan 1-0 in Tehran, Tractor defeated Havadar 4-2 in Tabriz, Zob Ahan lost to Esteghlal Khuzestan 2-0 in Isfahan, Mes defeated Aluminum 3-1 in Rafsanjan, Gol Gohar edged past Sanat Naft 1-0 and Nassaji beat Shams Azar 1-0,
Tractor and Sepahan are third and fourth with 35 and 34, respectively.
