Hossein Abdi Named Iran’s U-20 Football Team Head Coach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former Iran’s U-17 football team head coach was appointed as the new head coach of the U-20 team.
He replaced Samad Marfavi in the position.
Abdi helped Iran qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup knockout round, where the Persians lost to Morocco on penalties.
Abdi, 57, has previously worked as Iran’s women football team adviser.
