Iran’s Tahmasebi Wins Bronze in Baku Boxing Tournament
TEHRAN (Tasnim)– Iran's Kasra Tahmasebi secured a bronze medal at the "Great Silk Road" international boxing tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Tahmasebi competed in the 71kg weight class, reaching the semifinals before being defeated by Kazakhstan’s Darkhan Duisebay.
The tournament, which is being held at the Boxing Centre, will conclude on March 28 and comprises teams from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Iran, Italy, Pakistan, and Hungary.
With male boxers competing in 13 weight divisions and female boxers in five, the event has attracted 121 athletes.
