Esteghlal, Persepolis Edge Rivals: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal and Persepolis football teams defeated their opponents in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
In Arak, Esteghlal defeated Aluminum 1-0 courtesy of a first half goal from Gustavo Blanco.
Persepolis also beat Malavan 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium to stay one point behind IPL leader Esteghlal in the table. Issa Alekasir was on target four minutes into the second half.
Sepahan played out a goalless draw against Nassaji in Isfahan and Zob Ahan defeated Tractor 4-1 in Tabriz.
