Tens of IRGC Missiles Hit Targets in Occupied Territories

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tens of ballistic missiles launched by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) against Israel have hit targets in occupied Palestinian territories.

The IRGC Public Relations Office said in a statement in the early hours of Sunday that the IRGC Aerospace Force has launched tens of missiles and drones in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s recent airstrike that killed several Iranian military commanders and advisers in Syria.

It added that the missiles successfully hit targets inside occupied territories.

According to the IRGC Public Relations Office, details of the operation, which was carried out with the approval of the Supreme National Security Council, under the supervision of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and with support from the Iranian Army and Defense Ministry, will be made public soon.

Earlier, the IRGC said it has launched massive retaliatory missile and drone strikes against the occupied territories in response to the Israeli regime’s terrorist attack of April 1 against the Islamic Republic’s diplomatic premises in the Syrian capital Damascus.

The IRGC announced launching the strikes in a statement on Saturday night, defining the mission as “Operation True Promise”.

The Israeli attack had resulted in the martyrdom of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, his deputy, General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, and five of their accompanying officers.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei vowed that Iran would “punish” Israel and make the evil regime “regret” its crime of assassinating the country’s military advisers in Syria.
