Sepahan Moves to Third Place: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team edged past Zob Ahan 1-0 in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Shahriyar Moghanlou scored the solitary goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 69th minute.
Zob Ahan put Sepahan under pressure to level the score but its strikers failed to capitalize on their chances.
Sepahan moved up to third place with 42 points, eight points behind leader Esteghlal.
