Iran’s West Azarbaijan Exports over 3.5 Million Tons of Goods Overseas

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – More than 3.5 million tons of various types of products manufactured in Iran’s West Azarbaijan province were exported to the different Asian and European countries especially neighboring states in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2024), an official said.

The director general of the industry, mine and trade organization of West Azarbaijan province said 3.6 million tons of non-oil products were exported from this province between March 21, 2023, and March 19, 2024, showing a 14% hike compared to the previous year, YJC reported.

Abdolhamid Sartipi went on to say that these products were exported to countries like Turkey, Iraq, China, Afghanistan, Russia and Syria.

Petrochemicals, minerals, industrial and agricultural products, handwoven carpets and handicrafts were among the main products exported from this province last year, he continued.
