Russia’s Transit Train Heading to India Arrives in Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A transit cargo train from Russia heading to India arrived in Iran via the country's Incheh Borun Rail Corridor.

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (RAI), the second 774-ton container transit train, including 16 wagons and 31 loaded containers, arrived in Iran via Incheh Borun rail border, IRNA reported.

The transit train left for Bandar Abbas immediately after carrying out the customs formalities in order to travel on to India.

Back in August 2023, a container transit train including 36 containers entered the country for the first time from the origin of Russia to the destination of Saudi Arabia through Iran’s Incheh Borun rail border.
