Iranian Cyclist Daneshvar Bags Gold at Track Asia Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian cyclist Mohammad Daneshvar claimed a gold medal at the 2015 Track Asia Cup on Friday.
Daneshvar finished in the first place in 2-kilometers keirin in the Indian capital of New Delhi.
Another Iranian cyclist, Ali Askari, won the silver medal in the event.
The bronze medal went to South Korea’s Jun Won Gu.
In the men’s 200m sprint, Jin Won Gu from South Korea defeated Ali Askari to win gold. Kim Jung Yeal from South Korea seized the bronze medal.
In the junior women’s 200m sprint, Indian Nayana Rajesh won the gold medal and silver went to Iran’s Fatemeh Hadavand.
More than 150 cyclists from 10 countries participated in the three-day Asian meet that ended Friday.
