Iranian Weightlifters Take Two More Gold Medals at Asian Championships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian weightlifters Alireza Yousefi and Arman Mohammadzadeh claimed two gold medals at the 2018 Asian Youth and Junior Championships on Monday.

In the Asian Youth Championship +94kg weight category, Yousefi won the gold medal after lifting 144kg in snatch, 186kg in clean and jerk and 330kg in total.

The silver medal went to Saidmukhtor Saidakhrorov from Uzbekistan who lifted 318kg in total and Iranian Reza Asadi claimed bronze medal with a total of 314kg.

Mohammadzadeh also claimed a gold medal in the Asian Junior Championship in the +105kg category.

He came first with 160kg in snatch and 203kg in clean and jerk and 363kg in total.
