Iran’s Milad Rezanezhad Takes Silver at Zagreb Open

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Milad Rezanezhad from Iran claimed a silver medal at the Grand Prix Zagreb Open, the first of the UWW Greco-Roman Ranking Tournaments of the year.

In the 60kg gold-medal bout, the Iranian wrestler lost to two-time junior world champion Kerem Kamal 9-3.

Iran had already won one gold and one bronze medal in the two-day competition held in Zagreb, Croatia.

Pouya Dad Marz had claimed a gold medal at the 55kg and Mohammad Naghousi won a bronze medal at the 77kg.

Turkey won the title with 132 points, followed by Uzbekistan (101 points) and Croatia (91 points).

The Grand Prix Zagreb Open took place on Saturday and Sunday (February 9th and 10th) in Zagreb, Croatia.
