IPL: Esteghlal Suffers Late Draw, Sepahan Wins
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team conceded an injury-time equalizer in the match against Foolad in week two of the Iran Professional League on Thursday.
Farshid Esmaeili gave the host the lead in the 49th minute but substitute Amir Hossein Bagherpour equalized the match in the added time.
Esteghlal had suffered an injury time loss to Machine Sazi last week.
Sepahan edged past Machine Sazi 1-0 in Isfahan and remained top of the table with six points on goal difference.
Padideh defeated Shahin Bushehr 2-1 and Sanat Naft drew 1-1 with Naft Masjed Soleyman.
On Friday, Tractor will host Persepolis, Saipa play Gol Gohar, Pars Jonoubi face Zob Ahan and Nassaji meet Paykan.
