Sanandaj Confirmed World Wrestling Clubs Cup Host
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian western city of Sanandaj in Kurdistan province was confirmed as host of the 2020 World Wrestling Clubs Cup for Greco-Roman style.
In a letter to Bahman Moradnia, Governor of Kurdistan Province, head of Iran Wrestling Federation Alireza Dabir chose Sanandaj as host of the prestigious competition.
The event will be held from November 4 to 6.
The World Wrestling Clubs Cup is an international wrestling clubs competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW), the sport's global governing body.
The tournament was held on the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran Wrestling Federation in 2014 in Iran.
