Iran Volleyball Likely to Play Cuba in Friendly

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s national volleyball team will likely play a friendly match against Cuba, newly-elected president of Iran Volleyball Federation Milad Taghavi said.

Taghavi hosted the ambassador of Cuba Alberto Gonzalez Casals in the federation’s headquarters on Thursday.

Taghavi and Casals emphasized on increasing volleyball cooperation in the future.

“One of the important policies considered by the volleyball federation is to communicate with top level teams. Cuba is one of the strong volleyball teams in the world and if volleyball coach Mauricio Paes agrees, Iran will play the team in a warm-up game,” Taghavi said.
