Barij Essence Falls Short against Kuanysh in Asian Women's Club Volleyball C’ship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Barij Essence lost to Kazakhstan’s Kuanysh 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) in the 2022 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Kazakhstan on Friday.
It was Barij Essence’s third loss in the tournament as the Iranian team has also lost to Thailand’s Diamond and Altay of Kazakhstan.
Barij Essence had already defeated Kyrgyzstan VC and Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute in the competition.
The tournament is being held in Semey, Kazakhstan, from April 24 to 30.
Japanese volleyball team JT Marvelous withdrew from the tournament due to the COVID-19 infection among their team members.
