Foreign Trade Value of Mazandaran Customs Exceeds $1.8 Billion

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The observer of Mazandaran Customs Office said that the foreign trade value in customs office of the northern Iranian province reached about $1.861 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year of 1401 (March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023).

In an interview with IRNA on Thursday, Director General of Noshahr Customs Office Asgar Niknafs said that the value of foreign trade of Mazandaran Customs registered about 26 percent growth as compared to the same period of a year earlier.

Turning to the value of exchanges of goods in this period, the official put the total foreign trade volume of Mazandaran Customs in the previous year at over 43.656 tons.

Accordingly, more than 981.261 tons of various types of goods, valued at $276.492 million, were exported from Mazandaran province last year.

Cement, minerals, dairy products, plastic materials, wood and wooden products, kiwi fruits, etc. were among the main products exported overseas from this northern province, Niknafs said.

According to him, these goods were exported from customs offices of Noshahr, Amirabad, Sari, Fereydounkenar and Amol to the destination of 50 countries including Iraq, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
