Foreign Trade Value in Iran’s Mazandaran Customs Exceeds $345 Million in Two Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at Mazandaran Customs put the value of foreign trade in the northern Iranian province’s customs office in the first two months of the current Persian calendar year (March-April) at $354.177,000.

Some 771,000 tons of non-oil goods, valued at over 4354 million, were either imported or exported from Mazandaran Customs Office in this period, Observer of Mazandaran Customs Asgar Niknafs stated.

Of the total foreign trade at the provincial customs office, 179,000 tons, valued at $46.874 million, were related to the export of non-oil goods from the customs office while 593,000 tons, valued at over 307 million, belonged to the import of non-oil products, the director general of Nowshahr Customs Office continued.

Regarding the changes made in imports and exports of products in the two-month period, Niknafs added that import of non-oil products from March to April 2023 has increased by 156 and 141 percent in terms of weight and value respectively.

Dairy products, plastic materials, cement, different edible products, ice creams and frozen syrups were among the products exported from the customs office overseas in this period, the observer of Mazandaran Customs Office added.
