Parvizi Claims Silver at Baku Boxing Tournament
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mahdi Parvizi of Iran claimed a silver medal at the "Great Silk Road" international boxing tournament in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Iranian boxer lost to Uzbekistan’s Asilbek Jalilov in the 51 kg final.
The tournament was held at the Boxing Center and concluded on March 28. It was attended by teams from Azerbaijan Republic, Uzbekistan, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Iran, Italy, Pakistan, and Hungary.
With male boxers competing in 13 weight divisions and female boxers in five, the event attracted 121 athletes.
