218,000 Tons of Goods Exported from Iran’s Mehran Border in One Month

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The caretaker of the customs office of Iran’s southwestern province of Ilam said 218,000 tons of non-oil goods were exported from Mehran Border Crossing to neighboring Iraq and other countries in the first month of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to April 22, 2024).

Sohrab Kamari put the value of products exported from Mehran International Border to Iraq and other countries in the first month of the current Iranian calendar year at over $92.3 million.

Various types of agricultural and petrochemical products, power plant equipment, construction materials, ceramics, tiles, metallic and plastic products were exported from Mehran Border Crossing, he added, according to Mehr news agency.

He pointed to the statistics on the incoming and outgoing number of passengers transited from Mehran Border in this period and said the customs formalities of the products carried by 360,000 passengers were conducted by the customs officials of this province, showing a 42% growth compared to the same period last year.
